The long-awaited Samuel Beckett Bridge has opened in the Dublin Docklands linking Guild Street north of the Quays with Sir John Rogerson's Quay on the south. What do you get if you cross a Christmas tree with a bicycle? A 'Tree-Cycle' sustainable Christmas tree made out of recycled bicycle parts. Sarah Wigglesworth Architects have created a Christmas tree for Bermondsey Square in London made up of 35 recycled bike wheels. The 35 wheels are on loan from UK charity Re-Cycle who are committed to providing cheap, sustainable transport in Africa. ...
