World’s tallest building opens in Dubai

The world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai (renamed the Burj Khalifa) designed by American architecture firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) has opened in Dubai. At 828m, the building is over 300m taller than its nearest rival the Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
