We at the IAF are delighted to announce that Dublin-based printers Plus Print have won the prestigious Irish Small Printer of the Year Award at the Irish Print Awards 2011 for our recent A Space for Learning publication! This is the first time Plus Print have entered the Awards, and we are thrilled that they chose A Space for Learning as their only submission. A Space for Learning was edited by the IAF and designed by Unthink, who worked closely with Plus Print to create a really special publication. Ciaran from Plus Print said this about the project:
“We were delighted from the onset at how well the job printed and how well the different elements like the coloured thread, blind embossed and greyboard covers came together to produce a wonderful piece of print. We had to do a lot of prepress work on the images and used special profiles on the printing plates to get the images to reproduce so vibrantly on such a light uncoated recycled sheet and we are obviously delighted we did.
Myself and the guys in Unthink collaborated well to make this publication look amazing, drawing from all our production experience and I always felt from the start of the project we were looking at something special.”
A Space for Learning is currently on sale over on the IAF Merch Stand for €9 incl. postage – grab it while you can, as we only have a small amount left!
