Last week we completed the 2013 series of New Now Next which we have created with Arup. The event was full of vibrant, exciting people with a passion for architecture and design. The atmosphere was electric, Urban Agency’s talk was truly formidable, and the food from Coppinger Row, drink from Peroni and music by DJ Lex Woo truly created a wonderful celebration.

The Irish Architecture Foundation would like to write a special thanks to Arup, who have created this fantastic and dynamic programme with us. New Now Next would not have been possible without the innovative vision of Rory McGowan, a Director of Arup Ireland. This has been a real collaboration with a great exchange of ideas, and it has been a pleasure to work with someone as passionate as we are about architecture, design, and the built environment.

We would also like to thank the people who came to speak at our event. In 2013, our speakers included Tatiana Bilbao, Jeanne Gang, COBE and Urban Agency. Their talks sparked lively discussion and proved that there is a much-needed space to present and discuss contemporary issues in architecture with the public.

We are very excited to continue our relationship with Arup into 2014, and look forward to seeing what is new in the industry, what is happening now in the world of architecture, and what is going to happen next.
