This 70m long narrow strip of wasteland in Smithfield parallel to the Luas line has been transformed into an outdoor gallery. It s a pilot scheme showing how derelict sites can be made use of by the local communities. Only recycled materials have been used and and a native wildlife area of a 100 square metres is planted. A pergola garden structure and a corridor of colonising plants provide for a neighbourhood pocket park as well as a space to exhibit site specific art installations by emerging artists as well as by local community groups.
Free of charge. Donations of a plant welcome. Meetingpoint at Dice Bar, Corner of Benburb and Queen St, D7 at 1pm.
