Bauhaus Exhibition in the Barbican Opens to Critical Acclaim, until 12th Aug

The Bauhaus: Art as Life exhibition, now open to the public in the Barbican in London has opened this month to critical acclaim. Embracing the energy of one of the world’s most famous art schools, the show gives a thorough insight into life and society at the school and explores the influential art and design that emerged from Bauhaus masters and students alike.

As well as the main exhibition there are many other events running in parallel:

Tour: Designing the Bauhaus
Thursday 31 May, Art Gallery
Take a tour of the exhibition with graphic designers APFEL and architects Carmody Groarke and learn how they took inspiration from the Bauhaus to create the exhibition.

Bauhaus Film Season
25 – 31 May, Cinema 1
This week of events includes films by Bauhauslers Max Bill, László Moholy-Nagy and Kurt Schwerdtfeger as well as in conversations with Deyan Sudjic and Bauhaus specialist Thomas Tode.

Gunta Stölzl – A Daughter’s Perspective
