Call For AIARG 2017 Conference Sessions

13.07.16

Proposals for conference sessions are sought for the 6th annual AIARG – All-Ireland Architecture Research Group – conference to be held in the Department of Architecture in Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), Ireland on 27th to 28th January 2017.

Following the success of the previous AIARG conferences in Dublin, Limerick, Belfast and Cork a staged approach is being used, whereby thematic sessions from this initial call will generate a subsequent call for papers. Groups or individuals may propose a thematic session or a workshop. In each case, the chair(s) will be required to select approximately three to four papers and work with their selected presenters to review their papers and organise the running of the session or workshop. Each session will be 75 to 85 mins.

As well as engaging with the schools of architecture and researchers in architecture, this conference aims to encourage the participation of practicing architects who wish to further their research interests.

Proposals for sessions and workshops (max 300 words) should be e-mailed to aiarg2017conference@gmail.com. The proposal should include the title of the session, the name(s) of the session chair(s), relevant contact details and a short biographic profile (max 100 words). The deadline for the receipt of session/workshop submissions is 5pm, 15thAugust 2016.
The Scientific Committee will be the aRCH Research Group at WIT and the AIARG Committee (All-Ireland Architecture Research Group).
