Docomomo is pleased to announce the forthcoming event, a visit to the Central Bank on the 17th September, guided by Miriam Fitzpatrick.
VISIT TO THE CENTRAL BANK

The visit to Central Bank will take place on Monday the 17th of September at 6:30 pm. Attendance is limited to 10 people. This is a very rare opportunity to see inside a “most emphatic c20 architectural presence” as described by Christine Casey. Hugely innovative for its time, the structural system meant that each floor was built at ground level and then lifted into place with all its service equipment and fittings in place. Bands of
floor-to-ceiling glazing offer dramatic views of the city.
