Makers & Brothers places Irish craft in an International design context. The brothers are opening the doors of their HQ this weekend, open Saturday 14th – Sunday 15th July from 11am to 6pm. Their first summer opening and an important part of their seasonal Dublin openings.
For this event, Makers & Brothers have invited Wicklow woodworker, James Carroll to set-up a temporary workshop in their courtyard. Each day James will produce a series of simple three legged benches and demonstrated the art of green woodworking.
Alongside their regular selection of craft and design favorites, they will be launching an exciting new assortment of works they have been busy sourcing over the past few weeks. All this plus, a new swing will be swinging and there will be refreshments for all.
This event follows Makers & Brothers great success in New York earlier this summer with Making 01. Where there were over 1000 visitors during their four-day East Village showcase. It also precedes their London pop-up (a collaboration with SCP), which will take place in September this year.
