Workshop: Turn the City Green 21st July

As part of HACK THE CITY, four unique projects CoCook, Seedbombah, Radical Gardens, and Janice Steadman’s Mobile Garden will host talks from urban gardeners as well as free gardening, cooking and food making this Saturday from 1pm – 4.30pm at Whitefriars Community Centre, 2 Aungier St, Dublin 2.

To partake in this free workshop bring an object that can be pushed, pulled or carried, and can, in some way, house or attach to a plant – think old rucksacks, handbags, boots, shoes, pull along toys, tea pots, prams and bikes. You will be shown how to turn these objects into mobile gardens, and then take to the streets to turn the city green!

CoCook
CoCook is a collaborative global movement that involves cooking and eating in urban public spaces. Simply bring your favourite ingredient and with CoCook learn how to make something delicious.

Seedbombah (Guerrila Huerta)
Seedbombah uses seed bombing to unite communities old and new to transform their city into an urban orchard. Learn how to make seed bombs and how to make your city greener with guerilla gardening.

Radical Growth
Radical Growth is a project which emerged from the Idea Translation Lab, Science Gallery and Trinity College Dublin. Led by Daithi O’Reilly & Elaine Kavanagh the project explores garden and land share in the city and how we can co-grow food together.
