‘…of Clay and Wattles Made’

The Yeats 2015 International Architectural Competition is inspired by WB Yeats’ Poem ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’.

Open to all submissions, it is presented by the Institute of Technology Sligo in association with the Model, Sligo, Yeats 2015, Hazelwood Demesne Ltd, and Sligo County Council.

Submissions, invited to interpret WB Yeats’ poem ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’, are open to regional, national and international practitioners of architecture and art, to propose a poetic architectural intervention for the island of Innisfree which will mediate between Yeats’ poetic vision and contemporary architectural ideas.

The winning design will be constructed on the island for 13th June 2015, as a realisation of Yeats’ vision – a gift on his 150th birthday.

Award value €30,000

Deadline for Submissions 17.00 hours, 12th March 2015

This is not an IAF competition. For further information and to download a brief, please visit the Yeats 2015 website.
