Open House Worldwide Conference 2012

11.06.12

The 2nd Open House Worldwide Conference 2012: Smarter Cities, Smarter Thinking is taking place in London on the 21st and 22nd of June.

This conference brings together expertise from 20 cities in the Open House Worldwide ‘family’ of international architecture showcases with cultural and city agencies, built environment professionals and technology, energy and sustainability sectors. It aims to highlight smarter and creative thinking in the way existing cities are being made more sustainable for the future, showcasing more holistic approaches that generate social and economic alongside environmental benefits.

Nathalie Weadick Director of IAF will contribute to a panel that will explore how the Open House concept successfully addresses engagement, identity and citizenship in the development of cities, both present and future. Dublin’s edition of Open House has been particularly successful in opening up new and fresh perspectives not just from the public but also from within the city council and government who fund the project.
